Sorn opened in 2018 and, in the 2025 Michelin Guide Thailand, became the first Thai restaurant in the world to hold three Michelin stars. It is the work of self-taught chef Supaksorn 'Ice' Jongsiri, who built the restaurant in Phrom Phong around the cooking of Thailand's deep south, and it sits at number 16 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025.
The experience unfolds over three-plus hours in a discreet, refined room, with tableware and produce sourced to match the ambition of the kitchen. For years Jongsiri drove through Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Phatthalung and Phuket documenting recipes on the verge of extinction, and the restaurant is the distillation of that research.
