The Global Gaming Expo takes the Venetian Expo from October 6 to 9, with roughly 26,000 people from the casino and hospitality industry. It is the one show where the attendees know Las Vegas better than the guide does, which changes what is worth recommending. The one show where the room knows the city
G2E is the casino industry talking to itself, and a large share of the floor either works in Las Vegas or has been coming for twenty years. Recommending the Strip's greatest hits to that audience is a waste of everyone's time. What actually helps is availability and timing: which rooms are holding tables during a week when every operator in the business is in town, and which nights are worth the walk. The useful currency here is access, not discovery.
When people are actually in town
Most of the floor lands on the Monday, with exhibitors in earlier to build stands. The show closes Friday and a good part of the hall flies out that afternoon, so Friday is optional and Tuesday through Thursday is where the week happens. The Monday night before the doors open is the quietest good night of the week and almost nobody plans anything for it.
Where to eat from the Venetian Expo
G2E sits inside the Venetian, which means the shortest walk is also the strongest list in town. Bazaar Meat and BOA are the steak answers, Estiatorio Milos the room for fish and a conversation, Wakuda and Mott 32 the ones with more going on, and LAVO handles a large table without fuss. Across the street Wynn adds SW Steakhouse and Delilah. For a supplier dinner that wants old Vegas rather than a Strip room, Golden Steer is the one people ask for by name.
Taking clients out after dinner
The unusual thing about G2E is that half the room could give you the tour. Plenty of the floor either works in Las Vegas or has been coming for twenty years, so nobody needs a list of famous clubs. What is worth knowing is which room is actually good on the night you are free, and whether there is a table in it during a week when every operator in the business is here. Thursday is the strongest night of the show, with Max Styler at LIV and RL Grime at Zouk. Wednesday is quieter and easier. Groups and buyouts
G2E week is heavy on operator dinners and hosted-client tables, twenty to sixty people with a hard start because everyone has a stand to open. We book those and we handle the cars so the group arrives together. Larger buildouts and full buyouts we will place with the right room, and the budget is the useful place to start.
If a nightclub is not the answer
If you are after something other than a club, say so. The Mayfair Supper Club turns dinner into the evening without anyone having to move. And if you would rather have a speakeasy or a live music bar, tell us the group and we are happy to steer you in the right direction and make recommendations.

Earlier than a normal week. Every operator in the business is in town at once, and the rooms nearest the Venetian are committed to exhibitors well before the show.
