The London Reign opened in December 2017 at 215-217 Piccadilly in St. James's, close to Piccadilly Circus, and calls itself London's first showclub. The building already had a place in London nightlife: from 2006 to 2012 it was the Pigalle Club, a supper club with cabaret and live music, and a short-lived club followed in 2014 before Reign took the space.
The main room is a modern art deco design under high ceilings, with a large separate mezzanine level of installation rooms. It is fitted with a stage, show lighting, AV and a Funktion-One sound system, and the venue holds up to 400 guests.
The concept is a mix of Las Vegas and Moulin Rouge. A night here combines performance theater and aerial acts with open-format music on the decks. Reign is open four nights a week: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tuesday was part of the plan from the start, picked as a night the club could make its own when little else in London was happening on it.
Doors open at 11pm and the night runs late. Smart attire is required, the door is 21-plus with official ID only, and entry is at the discretion of the door. The venue also takes private bookings seven days a week. Tell us the night and your group size, and our London partner will arrange the table.
