Coastal Italian dining at Paseo Arcos Bosques in Mexico City
LAVO Mexico City is a coastal Italian restaurant on street level in Paseo Arcos Bosques, one of the city's most exclusive retail complexes. It carries the same DNA as LAVO in Las Vegas, New York, London and Singapore: a restaurant built to turn into a party without ever stopping being a restaurant.
The kitchen makes its pasta in house and its pizza on whole grain dough. Signatures include tagliatelle al limone finished with Kaluga caviar, the wagyu meatball with whipped ricotta, and a Chilean sea bass in a butter sauce with manila clams, squash and white wine. The bar runs a full cocktail program and a curated wine list.
Arcos Bosques sits on the western edge of the city in Bosques de las Lomas, and LAVO occupies the ground floor of the Paseo. The space is done in warm marble, brass and banquettes with a long bar, and the crowd skews corporate at lunch and dressed up after dark, which fits the Santa Fe and Lomas catchment around it.
Reservations run through the OpenTable link on this page and open up to ninety days ahead. Service starts at 1pm daily, runs to midnight Thursday through Saturday, closes at 11pm Monday through Wednesday, and ends at 7pm on Sunday.
