Argentine parrilla and seafood on Masaryk in Polanco
Puerto Madero occupies a corner of Avenida Presidente Masaryk in Polanco, with a covered terrace running along the tree line and a dining room behind it. It is an Argentine steakhouse that takes the fish half of the menu as seriously as the beef, and the open fire is the centre of both.
Cuts come off the parrilla: tomahawk, short rib, and thick-cut steaks carved at the table. The other side of the kitchen sends out oysters on ice, grilled octopus with potato and piquillo, and lobster tails split over the coals. The wine list leans Argentine, which suits the cooking, and the room is set up for the long, slow, shared kind of meal that goes with it.
Hours are the same every day of the week, 13:00 to 01:00, so it works for a long lunch on Masaryk as readily as for a late dinner. The terrace
