Enrique Olvera's two-star Polanco landmark
Pujol is Enrique Olvera's flagship in Polanco and the single restaurant most responsible for the modern Mexican fine dining movement. Since 2017 it has occupied a converted 1950s house on Tennyson, a low building of raw concrete, pale wood and courtyard trees where the dining room opens onto planted patios. It holds two Michelin stars in the Mexico guide and has spent years on the World's 50 Best list.
The kitchen serves a five course seasonal menu built around one Mexican region at a time, currently the Central Pacific states of Colima, Nayarit, Jalisco, Guerrero and Sinaloa, so the plates lean heavily toward fish and shellfish.
