Michelin-starred Italian-Mexican in a Roma townhouse
Rosetta occupies a Porfirian townhouse on Colima in Roma Norte, opened by Elena Reygadas in 2010 and holder of one Michelin star in the 2026 guide. Reygadas was named The World's Best Female Chef 2023 by The World's 50 Best Restaurants, and Rosetta anchors a group that also includes Panaderia Rosetta, Lardo, Cafe Nin, Salon Rosetta and Bella Aurora.
The cooking is Mexican with global influences, built for sharing. The Michelin Guide's own review highlights dishes such as cabbage tacos with pistachio puree and romeritos, a sweet potato tamal over toasted pumpkin seeds with buttermilk sauce and salsa macha, and a dessert of sliced Manila mango with coconut cream and horchata ice cream. The menu moves with the season and the market.
The setting does as much work as the food. Guests come in past a tiled entryway and a staircase wrapped in plants, into high ceilinged rooms with tall windows and worn wood, and it is routinely called one of the most romantic dining rooms in the city.
