Glass-encased lounge on the 35th floor of Moxy Chelsea, with Empire State Building views
The Fleur Room is a disco-glam lounge 35 floors above Chelsea, on top of the Moxy Chelsea hotel at 105 West 28th Street in the historic Flower District. Botanical in theme and fully glass-encased, it wraps 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline around the room, from the Empire State Building up close out to the Statue of Liberty.
The Rockwell Group design leans all the way into the glamour: a copper-clad bar, a water-droplet chandelier, rich floral fabrics, and a massive vintage disco ball that once hung in the LA club Vertigo. At the touch of a button the glass walls descend, opening the room into an alfresco sky veranda. The lounge opened in March 2019.
The bar builds a craft-cocktail list for the room, signature drinks such as the Fleur of the Valley with Belvedere, prosecco, strawberry and basil, or the Lilac Jane with Hendrick's gin and lavender, with most signature cocktails priced from $19 to $22. The Mini Martini Hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 5pm to 8pm, with $9 mini martinis, beers, wines and bites, and a flight of three mini martinis for $23, an easy way to catch the golden-hour light.
A DJ booth anchors the lounge, and the nights run late: until midnight on Tuesday, 2am on Wednesday, and 4am Thursday through Saturday, with the room dark Sunday and Monday.
