Thirty stories above Seventh Avenue, The Skylark is an all-seasons Midtown cocktail lounge on the 30th floor of 200 West 39th Street, in the Times Square area. Floor-to-ceiling sliding windows and a rooftop terrace put the skyline in the room, which makes it a natural for sunset drinks, date night, after-work drinks, or a small celebration where the view carries the night.
Inside, the multi-level interiors mix private nooks with communal seating under tall windows. From the lounge and the roof deck, the views take in the Empire State Building, Hudson Yards, and the Times Square New Year's Ball. The indoor lounge works in every season, while the roof deck opens weather permitting, so on cold or wet nights the evening moves inside behind the glass.
The menu is built for grazing over cocktails. The bartenders specialize in creative takes on classics, from The Skylark with gin, vodka and grapefruit to a Chamomile Negroni with mezcal and Suze and a frozen dirty martini, alongside a dinner-by-the-bite list of small plates: wonton tuna tacos, lobster and caviar in a black sesame cone, crispy chicken sliders, and steak frites.
