Janu Bar & Garden Terrace · Rooftop Bar · Tokyo

District-themed signature cocktails and weekend DJ sets on the fifth floor of Janu Tokyo.
Janu Bar is the cocktail bar of Janu Tokyo, on the hotel's fifth floor at Azabudai Hills in Minato. It shares the floor with Janu Lounge and its Garden Terrace, and the drinks program, built on traditional mixology by Shuzo Nagumo, reads Tokyo district by district.
The bar is an indoor room set against the illuminated skyline, with evening views toward Tokyo Tower. Next door, Janu Lounge sits under high ceilings and opens onto the Garden Terrace, which looks out to Tokyo Tower and Azabudai Hills. The lounge serves afternoon tea from noon and an Evening High Tea with free-flowing Champagne, wine and cocktails from 6pm.
The signature cocktails travel across ten districts, from Azabudai to Asakusa. Indulgence, the Ginza drink, layers Sauternes, Lillet Blanc, ratafia, pineapple, eucalyptus, honey and Champagne under a honey tuile, while Well-Scent, for Azabudai, pairs Assam tea with Chardonnay. Janu Tokyo Original Gin, made with fruit grown at Azabudai Hills, green tea and the hotel's own coffee beans, is poured as a house gin and tonic, and the whisky shelf reaches Yamazaki 25 Years. The kitchen sends out a Janu Burger with TOKYO X bacon, three kinds of inari sushi and Hong Kong-style shrimp and pork wonton noodles.
The bar runs from 5pm to midnight daily, with last drink orders at 11:30pm. DJ sets play on Friday and Saturday from 8pm to 11pm, and those two nights are walk-in; Sunday through Thursday, seats can be booked ahead. Guests must be 20 or older.
