Kei Kobayashi's bar with Saint-Louis crystal on the 12th floor of the Toraya Ginza Building
ST LOUIS BAR by KEI is a bar on the 12th floor of the Toraya Ginza Building at 7-8-17 Ginza, created by chef Kei Kobayashi together with Saint-Louis, the French crystal house founded in 1586. Its entrance is on Suzuran-dori, a five-minute walk from Exit A1 of Ginza Station.
The design starts from two building traditions, French stone and Japanese wood, and sets them side by side, with Saint-Louis crystal catching the light throughout the room. The bar seats 31 across a counter, a private room, a semi-private room and terrace seating, and the semi-private room sits out on the terrace, booked in two-hour slots.
Every drink is poured into Saint-Louis crystal glassware. The list centers on cocktails made to Saint-Louis's own original recipes, alongside champagne and wine chosen by the bar's sommelier, and the kitchen sends out bar food and desserts created by Kobayashi, from savory plates to finished desserts. On Saturdays an afternoon cafe service runs before the bar opens.
The bar is open Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30pm to 11:30pm, with last food orders at 10:30pm and last drinks at 11pm, and the Saturday cafe runs from 2pm to 5:30pm. Bookings open 30 days ahead, and smart casual dress is recommended.
