The Roof Shibuya Sky is the open-air bar on Sky Stage, the rooftop observation deck of Shibuya Sky at the top of Shibuya Scramble Square, the tower that rises directly above Shibuya Station. Sofa seats and standing tables face a sweep of the Tokyo skyline, from Tokyo Tower to Tokyo Skytree, with music, drinks and snacks.
Guests enter through the Shibuya Sky gate on the 14th floor and ride the escalators up to the roof, where the bar counter sits behind the heliport. The space is fully open to the sky, and the soundtrack, The Roof Mix, is chosen by music bars and record shops from around Shibuya. In bad weather the roof can close without notice, and the bar closes with it.
The list runs to bottled beer, champagne and cocktails with snacks. The house beer, Angel's Ladder, is a hazy session IPA brewed for the bar by Y.Y.G. Brewery in Yoyogi with five hop varieties, light in body with tropical fruit notes. Snacks come from a Kinokuniya selection picked by the staff, and the champagne set pairs a mini bottle of champagne with a snack. A la carte orders are taken at the rooftop bar counter.
The bar runs seasonally and its hours change through the year; in November and December it opens 15:00 to 21:00, last order 20:30. Sofa seats are reserved through a set ticket that includes Shibuya Sky admission, for two or more guests, in 50-minute slots from the top of each hour.
