Chef Chudaree Debhakam's two-Michelin-star farm-to-table Thai tasting menu in her family house
Baan Tepa Culinary Space occupies the Debhakam family house in Bang Kapi, east of central Bangkok, and the name explains the place: baan is the Thai word for home, and Tepa comes from the family surname. Chef Chudaree "Tam" Debhakam converted the property rather than building from scratch, so dinner unfolds across a teak-floored house, a private garden wing and a working kitchen garden.
The house holds two Michelin stars and a Michelin Green Star in the 2026 Guide Thailand. The green award recognizes how the kitchen sources and wastes: herbs and vegetables are grown in the restaurant's own garden, food scraps are repurposed into seasonings, crab shells are reworked into table settings, and fruit and vegetable waste is composted on site.
Dinner is a seven-course contemporary Thai tasting menu at 6,200 baht per person, and it begins in the garden, where guests taste the seasonal herbs before they reach the plate. The courses change with the seasons but recur in spirit - Dong Dang, a rice-noodle dish drawn from an Udon Thani noodle-making technique; Crab Crab Crab, built from four Thai crab varieties; and Forgotten Cuts, which puts beef tongue, cheek and shank at the center of the meal.
Service runs Wednesday to Sunday with seatings at 6.00pm, 7.00pm and 8.00pm, and dinner takes about two and a half hours. Book through TableCheck well ahead. Solo diners are seated at the kitchen counter, the Garden Wing private room seats eight to fourteen, and the dress code is smart casual.
