Alain Ducasse's French restaurant at ICONSIAM on the Chao Phraya
Blue by Alain Ducasse brought the world's most decorated chef to Bangkok's IconSiam riverfront in Charoen Nakhon when it opened in 2019, and it claimed its first Michelin star the following year - a distinction it has held ever since. It sits inside the IconLuxe wing on the west bank of the Chao Phraya, and it placed No. 80 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025.
The room is contemporary and refined, an elegant riverside setting that trades on Ducasse's signature ethos of letting the produce lead. It is one of the most recognizable French bookings in the city, polished without being stuffy.
Peruvian executive chef Evens Lopez keeps faith with the fundamentals of French fine dining while threading in Southeast Asian ingredients and a lighter, more international touch better suited to the climate. The result is Ducasse technique with a local pulse, plated against the river.
This is a grown-up, special-occasion dinner that delivers exactly the pedigree the name promises. Come for a celebration or an impress-the-table evening, and book ahead for a seating that lets you take in the river and the room at their best.
