Mezzaluna occupies a crescent-shaped room on the 65th floor of State Tower, suspended over Bang Rak and the Chao Phraya, with double-height windows that fold the skyline into the meal. It has held two Michelin stars for nine consecutive years, a run of consistency few rooms in the city can match, and it stands among the definitive high-altitude bookings in Bangkok.
The sense of quiet drama begins on arrival - the hush, the height, the sweep of the river far below - and sets the tone before a single course lands. The curved room and floor-to-ceiling glass turn the panorama into part of the design, at once theatrical and composed.
Executive chef Ryuki Kawasaki builds seasonal tasting menus that run exceptional Japanese ingredients through classic French technique. His signature is a wagyu from a rare breed raised in his home Niigata Prefecture, featured in tasting menus that change with the Japanese seasons. The cooking is precise and luxurious, ingredient-led and quietly confident.
This is French fine dining at its most refined and most cinematic. Reserve well ahead, observe the smart dress code, and time your table for dusk so the city lights come up over the river as the menu unfolds.
