Long-standing royal Thai restaurant on the 52nd-floor Sky Garden of the Banyan Tree Bangkok
Saffron is the long-standing royal Thai restaurant of the Banyan Tree Bangkok, and it comes with a view: the dining room and terrace sit high on the 52nd floor as part of the hotel's Sky Garden, wrapping around a 360-degree panorama of the city. It pairs the grandeur of a rooftop setting with a kitchen genuinely rooted in classical Thai cooking - a rarer combination than the skyline suggests.
The space balances refinement and drama, with indoor seating and an open-air terrace that catches the breeze high above Sathorn. Few Thai rooms in the city can match its sense of occasion.
The menu draws on authentic flavors from the Thai royal palaces, regional specialties and all-time favorites, served with a contemporary, artistic twist and premium local ingredients. Signatures include Australian beef tenderloin in green curry with apple eggplant and sweet basil, alongside the expected tom yum goong and massaman.
With refined service and dramatic views, Saffron is the royal-Thai option to choose when you want the meal and the panorama in one booking. Come for sunset, dress smart, and reserve a terrace table ahead for the full effect.
