Sirocco crowns the 64th floor of lebua at State Tower as the world's highest alfresco restaurant
Sirocco sits on the 64th floor of lebua at State Tower, one floor above the landmark's golden-domed Sky Bar, the terrace known for its cameo in The Hangover Part II. Sirocco itself is billed on the property's own site as the world's highest alfresco dining experience and the most awarded alfresco restaurant in the world, its open-air tables angled toward the Chao Phraya.
It shares the tower with Sky Bar just below, but Sirocco is the sit-down experience, its white-linen tables set right at the edge of the drop. Few rooms anywhere trade so heavily on sheer altitude and theater, and none in Bangkok is more photographed.
The kitchen serves Mediterranean cuisine drawing on Andalusian, Provencal and Levantine influences with Thai-sourced ingredients, paired with a deep wine list, delivered with the ceremony the setting demands. The food is classic and refined, but the view and the occasion are unmistakably the main event.
This is special-occasion dining at its most theatrical. Book the sunset seating for the light over the river, follow the smart-casual dress code - no athletic wear, swimwear, sleeveless shirts for men, flip-flops or beach slippers - and let the skyline carry the evening. The best tables go early, so book ahead.
