Mott 32 occupies the 73rd floor of Address Beach Resort in Jumeirah Beach Residence, with a bird's-eye sweep across Ain Dubai, Bluewaters Island, Palm Jumeirah, JBR and the Arabian Gulf. It is the Middle East outpost of the Hong Kong-born Mott 32 brand, built around modern Cantonese cooking with Beijing and Shanghai influences.
The interior comes from designer Joyce Wang, her first hospitality project in the Middle East, fusing a New York industrial feel with Hong Kong opulence across the dining room and an open-air terrace built around the view.
The signature dish is the Apple Wood Roasted Peking Duck, a 42-day preparation carved tableside using a technique developed by the culinary team to lock in the juices, served with steamed pancakes, cucumber, scallions and house-made hoisin. Alongside it: handmade dim sum made fresh daily, black cod, Kung Pao Lobster and the crabmeat fried rice with flying fish roe.
Mott 32 is built for celebratory dinners and the Saturday brunch more than a casual drop-in. Smart casual dress is expected, and beachwear, sportswear and flip-flops are not permitted. Dinner runs Tuesday through Sunday from 6pm, with a Saturday brunch and a Sunday lunch earlier in the day, and reservations are worth making ahead of the weekend.
