Mott 32 occupies the 73rd floor of Address Beach Resort, arguably the loftiest and most cinematic table in Dubai, with a bird's-eye sweep across Ain Dubai, Bluewaters Island, Palm Jumeirah, JBR and the Arabian Gulf. It is the Middle East chapter of the Hong Kong-born brand that ranks among the world's most awarded Chinese restaurants.
The interior, in the house style of designer Joyce Wang, fuses New York industrial grit with Hong Kong opulence and subtle Arabic detailing: a barrel-vaulted, gilded main dining room, hand-painted panels and cabinets of ceramics, opening onto an expansive terrace where the skyline does the rest.
Cooking spans Cantonese, Beijing and Shanghai traditions. The signature Apple Wood Roasted Peking Duck is a 48-hour production, carved tableside, joined by jasmine-smoked black cod, freshly made dim sum, lobster and the much-loved crab meat fried rice. Presentation is as considered as the views.
