Imperial Treasure · Restaurant · London
Fine Cantonese dining inside a former bank on Waterloo Place, St James's.
Imperial Treasure is a fine Cantonese restaurant at 9 Waterloo Place in St James's, set inside a former bank building that blends English heritage detail with Chinese and French design. White leather, onyx walls, and wood partitions add intimacy inside the opulent room, which seats 140 across the main hall and three private dining rooms.
The kitchen is known for its Peking duck, offered in a caviar version for guests who want the full showcase, alongside crispy pork belly, honey-glazed char siu pork, and a daily selection of dim sum prepared by chefs from Hong Kong. The wider menu runs to abalone, sea cucumber, and other classic Cantonese roast meats and seafood, backed by a dedicated wine cellar.
The room suits connoisseurs, business diners, and special-occasion tables who value precision over spectacle. Imperial Treasure serves lunch and dinner daily, with an afternoon closure between services: lunch runs to 3:00 PM on weekdays and 3:30 PM on weekends, and dinner runs from 6:00 PM, closing at 10:30 PM Monday through Saturday and 9:30 PM on Sunday. Reserve through OpenTable, and dress smart-casual.
