Ivy Asia St Paul's is a pan-Asian restaurant that behaves more like an occasion, set on an upper floor of One New Change at 20 New Change with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. It is the original and most theatrical of the Ivy Asia locations that have since opened around London and beyond.
The entrance carries a pink onyx floor and a pagoda-style mirrored bar, while the main first-floor dining room is inlaid with jade-green semi-precious stone, lit from beneath so the floor glows underfoot. Jet-black tiles clad the upper walls, threaded with gold leaf; lower panels depict 18th-century Japanese scenes; and life-size antique samurai stand guard beneath a 35-metre dragon painted across the ceiling.
