Downtown Miami after-hours club known for its open-air Terrace and marathon sets
Club Space has been a Miami after-hours institution since it opened in March 2000. It sits at 34 NE 11th Street in Downtown Miami and is built around what the club calls electronic music marathons. The heart of it is the Terrace, the open-air upper floor where sets start at night and run past sunrise into the next afternoon.
Club Space shows run on Friday and Saturday nights. They start at 11 p.m., and ticket listings run until about 2 p.m. the next day, though the club notes that closing time varies with each event. Space also runs two other rooms, Floyd and The Ground, each with its own lineup.
Recent and upcoming Club Space dates include Shimza, BLOND:ISH, Franky Rizardo, Ame and Mind Against. Residents such as Bakke, Danyelino, Ms. Mada and Thunderpony play around the headliners, and select sets are recorded live for the club's Apple Music partnership. Every Saturday at 4:20 p.m., 4:20 Yoga brings movement, breath and sound to the club.
The SpaceShells menu runs from cocktails and espresso to cold-pressed juices, coconuts and non-alcoholic drinks, and the Space Odyssey late-night kitchen serves grilled cheese, empanadas and fresh fruit. The club is cigarette free. Dress as you like, but footwear with no back strap, such as open sandals and heels, is not allowed, and neither are gym shorts or athletic wear.
