Japanese-inspired sushi, robata and late-night DJs in Brickell
Sexy Fish is the Miami outpost of the London original, set in the heart of Brickell on South Miami Avenue. It is a dining room worth a standalone night, and the space itself is the draw: designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and hung with art by Damien Hirst, Frank Gehry and Michael Roberts, it pairs mid-century glamour with an underwater theme, and after sunset international DJs and themed entertainment take over.
Chef Director Bjorn Weissgerber anchors a Japanese-inspired menu of sushi, sashimi and robata-grilled meat and seafood, with signatures like the caramelized black cod with spicy miso. Tasting menus for the whole table run in three tiers, Hiro, Sekushi and Premium, from $115 to $220 per person, while theatrical cocktails and a list of more than 1,000 wines, including 230 Champagnes and sparkling wines, round out the table.
There are gentler ways in than a full dinner. Sexy Sunday Brunch starts at $78 per person, the lunch set runs Monday through Saturday from noon to 4 PM, and happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 PM and Sunday from 5 to 7 PM. Thursday is Champagne and Pearls, with champagne glass performances and caviar pairings.
The late-night party runs Thursday through Saturday from 10 PM. Dinner is elegant: no shorts after 5 PM, and guests must be 21 or older after 7 PM.
