This is a serious, chef-driven dinner with a real sense of place, the kind of room built for a milestone or a considered date night. The dining room is dimly lit and lush with greenery, there is a patio as well, and the cooking is the headline while the decor stays out of the way.
The menu follows the seasons and items change, but a few signatures define the experience. The showpiece is the Canard a la Presse, a large-format 14-day dry-aged duck breast served with roasted calabaza tamal, wild mushroom foie gravy and duck fricassee pastelitos. The pastrami-style short rib is the other large-format order, and both are in limited supply each night. Foie gras, served with a plantain canele and duck fat maduro, is the other dish the house builds its story around.
Versos Sencillos, the chef's tasting menu, is available daily alongside the a la carte menu, with a wine pairing on offer, and it is the fullest way to see the range of the kitchen. Dinner starts at 5:30 PM every night and runs until 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM on Friday and Saturday.
