Venetian Italian dining with Biscayne Bay views by the Miami River on Brickell Avenue
Cipriani Downtown Miami sits on the south side of the Miami River at 465 Brickell Avenue, at the northern end of the Downtown financial district, with panoramic views over Biscayne Bay. It is a room for a polished business lunch, a long dinner or a celebration with the water in view, and it serves from noon every day.
The Cipriani story begins at Harry's Bar in Venice, open since 1931, where Giuseppe Cipriani created both Carpaccio and, in 1948, the Bellini, a mix of pureed white peaches and Prosecco that has since become part of every Cipriani restaurant. The Miami dining room takes its cue from its waterfront setting, with a bright, chic nautical design.
The menu is Venetian Italian built on homemade pastas and risotti. A sample menu includes the Carpaccio alla Cipriani, thinly sliced raw beef finished with the house sauce, homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli with butter and sage, Cipriani baked white tagliolini with ham, risotto alla primavera, and calves liver alla Veneziana. Save room for the Cipriani vanilla meringue cake.
For private events, the Venetian room works as an extension of the dining room and holds 80 seated or 60 standing. The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 11:30 PM and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
