Waterfront brasserie and lounge on the Miami River, reachable by land or by boat
Seaspice sits right on the Miami River at 412 NW North River Drive, a waterfront brasserie and lounge where guests can arrive by land or by boat. Luxury yachts slide past the open-air Courtyard Lounge with the downtown skyline behind them. It suits a celebration or a big group dinner, and works just as well for a long lunch by the river.
The setting is a post-industrial warehouse dressed with sophisticated nautical touches. The Grand Dining Room has floor-to-ceiling river windows and a copper bar; the Modern Garden sits under two origami-like trees beside a wall of live orchids; Riverside and the Covered Porch put tables along the water. The open-air seats, with front-row views of the yachts and the skyline, are the ones to ask for.
The kitchen is a globally inspired, gastro-classic brasserie known for its signature casseroles and crafted cocktails. The raw bar runs to East and West Coast oysters, crudos and platters stacked with Maine lobster and jumbo shrimp, and Japanese Miyazaki A-5 Wagyu arrives on volcanic hot stones. On Sundays the night tips into a lounge scene, with DJs and live entertainment from 10 PM.
One planning note: Seaspice is closed on Mondays, so aim for Tuesday through Sunday, when the doors open at noon. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 PM.
