Design-driven Northern Mexican dining on the Brickell Key waterfront
The Mexican opened on April 9, 2026, on Brickell Key, just off the Brickell mainland, in the waterfront building at 601 Brickell Key Drive. It spans more than 10,000 square feet across multiple dining rooms, private spaces, and outdoor terraces overlooking Biscayne Bay, and it suits date nights, group dinners, and long evenings by the water.
Interior architect Paulina Moran shaped the room with hand-crafted materials, sculptural lighting, and hand-painted tilework. Guests arrive through a golden archway and tall wooden doors into a tequila gallery, then a central bar framed by floor-to-ceiling windows with waterfront views. Outside, a waterfront bar with circular seating sits above a lower terrace with open-air tables just steps from the water.
The kitchen is rooted in Northern Mexican traditions and refined through modern technique. Look for the Lobster Elote, the Barbacoa de Arrachera, the Aguachile de Ribeye, and the Filet and Bone Marrow Tacos. The bar backs it with a tequila library and signature margaritas like the Mujeres Divinas and La Nina Fresa.
The doors open at noon Tuesday through Sunday and close at 10pm on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 11pm on Thursday, and midnight on Friday and Saturday; the restaurant is closed Monday. The dress code asks for an elegant, polished style, and long pants are required for gentlemen.
