Tao Group opened Crane Club in West Chelsea in 2024, a clubstaurant that leads with the kitchen: a members-club look and see-and-be-seen energy, but a book open to the public and a menu run by a chef with two Michelin stars.
It took over the former Del Posto space at 85 10th Avenue. The main room runs under grand arched, vaulted ceilings, with crimson velvet banquettes, red upholstered chairs, herringbone floors, white tablecloths, and sculptural fringed pendant lights. An intimate bar off the entrance is clad in rosso levanto marble in deep purple-red, and the private dining rooms include the signature crane-mural room. Tao Group's design lead Susan Nugraha reworked the interior with New York firm Laseu Studio, and the crowd skews dressed-up and celebratory.
