Crane Club opened in West Chelsea in November 2024, a grand, wood-fired dining room at 85 10th Avenue made for celebrating. Chef Melissa Rodriguez, who ran the kitchen at Del Posto in this same space, cooks over a 12-foot custom Mibrasa grill.
The main dining room rises to double-height ceilings and grand arches, finished in velvet upholstery, smoked wood, and walls hand-brushed with gold leaf, with large banquettes and lively music keeping it fancy but not fussy. A few steps up, the intimate bar has low coffered ceilings and moody lighting. For private dinners, the Crane Room, lined with a Gucci wallcovering of birds and dragonflies, seats up to 14, and the Curtain Room closes off for up to 26.
The menu leans on wood fire and seasonal ingredients from small regional farms and fisheries, a la carte with large-format feasts served family-style. The Parmigiano Reggiano-aged New York strip, dry-aged 30 days, sits alongside a bone-in ribeye and roasted bone marrow with grilled filone. Pastas run from agnolotti with braised pork to spaghetti frutti di mare, raw bar specialties arrive from a custom cart, the bar pours a Golden Gibson with beet and pickled onion, and dessert is the Tiramisu Viennetta.
Hours run Monday to Wednesday 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Thursday to Saturday 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, closed Sunday. Reservations run through OpenTable for parties of up to 8, while groups of 9 or more go through the events team. Dress is polished, so avoid excessively casual apparel.
