Delmonico's opened in the Financial District in 1837 as America's original fine-dining steakhouse, and reopened in September 2023 after a pandemic-era closure. This is the room where the Delmonico steak, Lobster Newberg, and Baked Alaska were all first put on a plate.
The restored main dining room sits inside the landmark triangular Delmonico's building at Beaver and William, wrapped in original cherry-wood wainscoting under high ceilings, new bubble chandeliers, and Corinthian columns.
