Sadelle's is SoHo's power brunch, the see-and-be-seen original at 463 West Broadway, where bagel towers and smoked fish arrive for the whole table. It is a scene and a reliably great meal all at once, built for brunch that feels like an event.
Open since 2015, it is named for Sadelle, a great-grandmother whose recipes and sense of fun around the table inspired the restaurant. The room is bright and lively, the service is warm, and the bagel theater is part of the show.
The signature move is the tower: thin-sliced smoked salmon, house salmon, sable, sturgeon, whitefish salad and salmon salad, with handmade bagels and all the accompaniments. Beyond that the menu is a greatest-hits of celebratory brunch: Eggs Benedict with salmon, the Leo with house salmon, caramelized onions and creme fraiche, chopped salads, triple-decker sandwiches, and the French Toast the kitchen counts among its specialties. Caviar service and ice-cold vodka are always available for the table that wants to go up a level, plus a house cheeseburger for the one guest who did not come for fish. Order family-style and share.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so build it into the front of your day. Reservations run through Resy and open 30 days in advance at 10:00 AM; a la carte tables are taken for parties up to 12 Monday through Thursday and up to 5 Friday through Sunday.
