Charcoal-grill steakhouse with a terrace and wine-cellar bar on the sixth floor of Grand Hyatt Tokyo.
The Oak Door is the steakhouse on the sixth floor of Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Roppongi Hills. It pairs charcoal-grilled beef with Japanese produce, a bar lined with glass wine cellars, an outdoor terrace and a private dining room. Chef de Cuisine Rafael Carrera Barragan, who draws on his Ecuadorian roots, presented his debut dinner course on October 1, 2026.
The restaurant seats 226, including 56 on the terrace, with intimate booths facing an open kitchen. The private dining room has its own lounge area for an aperitif and is built around an original painting by Paul Ching-Bor, with space for up to 10 guests.
The Tomahawk is an F1 wagyu rib eye on the bone of up to 1.6 kg, and The Oak Door Burger uses beef ground in house, grilled over charcoal and finished in a broiler that runs above 900C. The Tour of Japan dinner course gathers seasonal ingredients from around the country. At the bar, five American classics are reworked with Japanese ingredients: the Hickory Old Fashioned blends American bourbon with Japanese whisky, and the Shishito Heat Margarita pairs jalapeno-infused tequila with yuzu liqueur and a shishito garnish.
Lunch starts at 11:30, dinner runs from 18:00 to 22:00, and the bar pours until 23:30, or 00:30 on Fridays and Saturdays. The dress code is smart casual, and guests under 20 are not admitted to the bar after 22:00.
Address: Grand Hyatt Tokyo 6F, 6-10-3 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0032, Tokyo
