Basque cooking with Japanese technique on the 4th floor of the Kojun Building in Ginza.
Zurriola is a Spanish restaurant on the 4th floor of the Kojun Building in Ginza 6-chome, holding one MICHELIN star in the MICHELIN Guide Tokyo 2026. Owner-chef Seiichi Honda joins the traditional cooking of the Basque Country to the precise techniques of Japanese cuisine, shaped by the Japanese seasons. He opened Zurriola in Azabu-Juban in 2011 and moved it to Ginza in 2015.
Honda, born in Chiba in 1976, went to France in 1998, then spent four years as chef of Casa Urola in San Sebastian before returning to Japan to cook at RyuGin and as sous chef at Sant Pau in Tokyo. The room is modern and understated, hung with work by the Catalan abstract painter Albert Rafols-Casamada and a watercolor of Zurriola beach in San Sebastian, where the chef lived. There are 31 seats: a 10-seat counter, 12 at tables and two private rooms for up to four.
Lunch and dinner are both omakase courses. The Gastronomy course carries Honda's signature smoked caviar ravioli alongside seasonal produce, a short version condenses it into about two hours, and the Specialite lunch serves the dinner course at midday. The standard lunch runs to about eight dishes of modern Spanish cooking, and the list holds around 120 wines, most of them Spanish.
Lunch is served from 11:30 with last orders at 1 pm, and dinner from 6 pm with last orders at 7:30 pm; the restaurant closes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Guests must be 13 or older, the whole table orders the same course, and smart casual dress is recommended.
Address: Kojun Building 4F, 6-8-7 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-0061, Tokyo
