Grill restaurant, cocktail lounge and skyline terrace on the fifth floor of the AO Building in Aoyama
TWO ROOMS is a grill restaurant and bar on the fifth floor of the AO Building at 3-11-7 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, about a minute's walk from Exit B2 of Omotesando Station. As the name says, it is laid out as two spaces: Atelier 246, the more intimate dining room facing Route 246, and Vista Lounge, a bar and lounge built for cocktails. A terrace on the same floor, which the venue calls its rooftop terrace, looks out over the Tokyo skyline.
The day moves from lunch and a weekend brunch through an afternoon cafe and dinner into a late-night service from 22:00. After dark the music turns to DJ sets, and live band nights are held regularly through the month.
The kitchen is built around the grill, with global influences and a Japanese eye for presentation. Seafood on ice and freshly shucked oysters lead into A5 wagyu sirloin skewers, char-grilled Iwate pork shoulder, a double lamb chop and surf and turf with half a grilled lobster, with wagyu tallow mashed potatoes on the side. At the bar, the house Mojito Selection runs from yuzu and shiso to fresh mango, beside classics such as the Vesper Martini and Negroni and bar bites like fiery chicken wings with yuzu kosho aioli.
TWO ROOMS opens daily at 11:30 and runs until 02:00, with dinner orders taken until 21:30. Online reservations cover the restaurant; bar and terrace seats are arranged with the venue directly.
