House of Savoy is a hip-hop club on the second floor of the SILQ Hotel on Sukhumvit 24, a short walk from Phrom Phong BTS. It is the newest room from the team behind Upper House, Baccarat and 24 BLVD, and it describes itself as Bangkok's home for new-generation hip-hop culture.
The room runs dark and warm. A ring of light hangs over the dance floor, the DJ booth sits under a neon arch, and the leopard that serves as the club's emblem turns up everywhere, from a lit sculpture by the curtains to a mural above the lounge's green banquettes. The house line is that the bottle is the offering, so the night is built around tables, with the floor filling in around them as it goes on.
The music is hip-hop first, with resident and guest DJs rotating through the week and named nights on the calendar. The club opens every night at 9 p.m. and runs late, so it works as the first stop on Sukhumvit 24 or the last.
