Sketch is really five rooms behind a single Mayfair door at 9 Conduit Street, each one answering a different kind of occasion, from a milestone dinner to a design-obsessed afternoon. It plays as a townhouse of contrasts, not one restaurant, so regulars return for different reasons.
The Gallery is the famous one, a yellow room designed by India Mahdavi that currently shows Jonathan Baldock's "Maske" installation, a run of colorful clay masks that went up in January 2026. It is best known for a theatrical afternoon tea by day and a modern European a la carte by night. To be precise about the accolades, the Gallery is not the Michelin-starred room; the stars live upstairs.
Those stars belong to The Lecture Room and Library on the first floor, which holds three Michelin stars for a loose adaptation of Pierre Gagnaire's Paris cooking, served as tasting menus in a warm, jewel-toned room. This is the standalone-evening room for the full three-star experience. Elsewhere are the garden-like Glade, the lounge-like Parlour, and the East Bar with its egg-shaped pods and famous pod restrooms.
Keep the two headline rooms straight: the Gallery is the all-day scene, and The Lecture Room and Library is the starred fine-dining destination. The Gallery serves afternoon tea daily and dinner every evening, while The Lecture Room and Library runs lunch Friday and Saturday and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
