Sunny's Steakhouse sits at 7357 NW Miami Court in Little River, from the team behind Miami's Jaguar Sun. It began as a pandemic-era pop-up, quickly became one of the city's hottest reservations, and returned in permanent form in October 2024, serving a raw bar, wood-fired proteins, steakhouse classics, and handmade pastas with a genuine sense of occasion.
The restaurant runs indoors and out, with half of the seating outside around a brick courtyard shaded by a banyan tree. Inside, the design nods to mid-century modernism and Palm Beach Regency, while the courtyard keeps its industrial edge. Sunny's calls the evening a nightly dinner party, and the room hums like one.
The kitchen, led by chef-partner Carey Hynes, is more ambitious than the steakhouse label suggests. Expect a 10-ounce prime hanger, wagyu Denver, Delmonico, and New York strip cuts, and a 26-ounce dry-aged ribeye, with sauces like bone marrow vinaigrette and pineapple hot sauce. The raw bar runs from East and West Coast oysters to hiramasa crudo and razor clams. Beyond the beef, look to the Spice Crusted Duck Breast, the Rigatoni with pork sugo, and the Agnolotti with corn and blue crab.
The indoor bar and terrace are kept entirely for walk-ins, and Sunny's asks guests to come as they are. Reservations open on Resy 30 days in advance at 12pm Eastern.
