Atomix is a two-Michelin-star modern Korean tasting counter in NoMad, run by chef Junghyun 'JP' Park with his wife Ellia Park, who manages the restaurant. It was named number one on the inaugural North America's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2025, sits at number seven on the 2026 list, and ranks number twelve on The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2025. The James Beard Foundation named JP Park Best Chef: New York State in 2023 and gave Atomix its Outstanding Hospitality award in 2025.
The name comes from Ato, an ancient Korean word for gift, and the tasting menu is inspired by Korean traditions and technique. The main event is a U-shaped counter wrapped around an open kitchen one level below the street, in a room of dark finishes and earth tones. Every course arrives on bespoke ceramics with a card explaining its ingredients and origins.
Upstairs, the cocktail bar serves its own bar tasting menu, prepared by the restaurant's R&D chef and paired with a beverage tasting from the bar team; an alcohol-free pairing is chosen when booking. The kitchen cannot accommodate vegan, vegetarian, or celiac diets, or allergies and aversions to seafood, shellfish, dairy, or allium. The counter can be booked out for private dinners of up to 15 guests.
Dinner runs Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday, with counter seatings at 5:30 PM and 8:45 PM. The counter and the bar tasting both book on Tock, where Atomix releases each month of reservations in full.
