Atomix is a two-Michelin-star modern Korean tasting counter in NoMad, run by chef Junghyun 'JP' Park with his wife and partner Ellia Park. On the inaugural North America's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2025 it was named the number-one restaurant on the continent, and it sits around number twelve in the world.
The counter is one flight below street level at 104 East 30th Street, and the descent is part of the choreography. You start in a stone-floored lounge of low, geometric seating, where a few snacks and a drink set the tone. Then the main event: a fourteen-seat U-shaped counter cut from black granite, gray-suede chairs, dark finishes, and earth tones wrapped around an open kitchen.
