Manhatta occupies the 60th floor of 28 Liberty Street in the Financial District, where floor-to-ceiling windows look out over New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty on one side and the East River and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges on the other. Executive Chef Michele Brogioni leads the kitchen, and the restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide.
Brogioni's cooking is seasonal, contemporary American with global influences. Dinner is three courses at $120 or four at $148, with wine pairings offered, drawing on dishes like bluefin tuna with melon and shiso, glazed sweetbreads with fig, dry-aged duck with smoked peanut and plum, and butter-poached lobster. Lunch is a two- or three-course prix fixe, backed by an award-winning wine list.
The bar and lounge is its own evening out, with walk-ins welcome, cocktails named for New York neighborhoods such as the Manhatta(n) and the FiDi, and a bar menu of oysters, a dry-aged burger and a lobster roll. The dining room handles business dinners, romantic tables, and private events with equal composure, and the floor also holds eight event spaces finished in mid-century modern warmth with stone and bronze accents.
Lunch runs daily from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Dinner is 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM Sunday through Wednesday and 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM Thursday through Saturday, and the bar opens daily at 11:30 AM. Reservations open 28 days in advance.
