A hip-hop club in Shibuya's Maruyamacho, open since 1997, with a weekly Saturday party
Harlem is a hip-hop club on the second and third floors of the Dr. Jeekahn's building at 2-4 Maruyamacho in Shibuya, a walk up Dogenzaka from the Hachiko exit of Shibuya Station. It opened in 1997, and the club calls itself the holy land of hip-hop in Japan, a name that has since traveled well beyond the country.
The club spreads across two floors, the main Harlem floor and BX Cafe. VIP seats sit on the Harlem middle second floor, with V1 for groups of up to 12 and V2 and V3 for six to eight, each held for two hours around a bottle order, set up for an unhurried night of good sound and drinks.
The music is hip-hop, played by resident DJs on a dance floor the club describes as extraordinary for a hip-hop room, and the club regularly brings in DJs and artists from overseas for full hip-hop parties. Saturday belongs to Monster, the club's every-Saturday hip-hop party, and the lineup changes through the rest of the week.
Entry is for guests aged 20 and over with photo ID, such as a passport or a driver's license, and the door expects men in closed shoes. Photography and recording are not allowed inside. Send the date and the group size, and our Tokyo partner books the table.

Frequently asked about Harlem Tokyo

Submit the reservation request on this page and our Tokyo partner confirms your table, quotes any minimum spend in writing, and coordinates arrival before you commit. Your host opens the door on arrival so you walk straight to a ready table.
How much is a table at Harlem Tokyo?
A table at Harlem Tokyo depends on the night (weekends and event dates price highest), your group size, and where the table sits relative to the DJ booth and dance floor. What is the dress code at Harlem Tokyo?
Harlem Tokyo keeps an upscale nightlife dress code: stylish, dressed-up attire. Avoid athletic wear, gym shoes, and overly casual looks. Your host manages the door with your table, and we confirm the current policy with your booking.
