Omakase wagyu teppanyaki at a vermilion chef's table on Keyakizaka-dori in Roppongi Hills
Roppongi Ukai-tei is a teppanyaki restaurant on the second floor of Roppongi Hills Residence D, looking out over Keyakizaka-dori in Roppongi Hills. Every meal is a set course cooked on the griddle at a chef's table, with Japanese Black beef as the main dish and seasonal seafood from Japan and abroad.
The room is dressed in traditional Japanese color: a bright vermilion chef's table, gold-toned decoration and a run of elegant furnishings. Private rooms each have their own grill counter and a dedicated chef, which gives them a high degree of privacy, and the restaurant pitches the space for dinners with important clients and for evenings with someone close.
The beef here is Ukai Gokujo, a wagyu raised over 34 months for Ukai-tei, served alongside lobster and seasonal fish. Lunch is a Selected Beef course with teppanyaki seafood or a course built on abalone steamed in rock salt. Dinner is omakase, and the Abalone and Supreme Beef course, a Roppongi exclusive, brings together Tamura wagyu, abalone and seasonal ingredients from around the world.
Lunch starts at noon on weekdays and 11:30 am on weekends and holidays, with last orders at 1:30 pm, and dinner runs from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm with last orders at 8:00 pm. The restaurant closes on Mondays. Online booking opens two months ahead, and everyone at a table orders the same course.
Address: Roppongi Hills Residence D 2F, Keyakizaka-dori, 6-12-4 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0032, Tokyo
