COYA brings Peruvian, Nikkei, and Chifa cooking to Mayfair at 118 Piccadilly. Since opening in 2012 it has held a spot on London's upscale dining circuit, built around a main dining room and a buzzing Pisco Bar. A theatrical open ceviche counter anchors the energy.
The menu is built on signatures. Ceviche Clasico de Lubina pairs sea bass with red onion, sweet potato, and white corn; Tiradito de Pez Limon sets yellowtail against green chilli and orange tobiko; Arroz Nikkei folds Chilean sea bass through rice with lime and aji amarillo; and Lomo de Res plates a spiced beef fillet with crispy shallots and star anise. The COYA Pisco Sour, pisco, lime, and egg white, sets the cocktail standard. Bohemian interiors of Inca-inspired murals, handwoven textiles, and greenery reinforce the festive spirit without feeling contrived.
Evenings shift register entirely. Live Latin music and resident DJs push the room into late-night mode at the Pisco Bar, drawing a cosmopolitan crowd. The atmosphere stays lively yet refined, equally suited to a business lunch and a group celebration that carries into dancing.
The dining room serves lunch Monday to Friday 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, dinner Monday to Thursday 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM and Friday-Saturday to 11:00 PM, and Sunday 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM; Saturday adds brunch from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Pisco Bar itself runs later most nights. Dress is smart casual. Weekends fill fastest, so reserve ahead.
