Isabel is the glamorous, low-lit dining-and-lounge room on Albemarle Street that has drawn a stylish Mayfair crowd since it opened in 2017. It leans Latin and Mediterranean, built to feel like an occasion.
The building dates to 1905, one of the finest Beaux-Arts facades in Mayfair, with the furniture dealer Charles Mellier among its earliest occupants. Downstairs, the private Dragon Room and a basement lounge extend the night well past the kitchen's close, so the room slides from dinner into cocktails.
The current menu spans Latin and Mediterranean plates built for sharing: lobster calamarata with bisque, a wagyu toastie on brioche, tuna tartare with ponzu and wasabi, and pan-fried scallops with tapenade and black olive crumble, alongside steaks up to a whole cote de boeuf. The bar runs its own seasonal cocktail list, from the Albemarle Negroni to the Isabel Paloma.
Lunch is served daily from noon to 4:45 PM; dinner runs to 10:30 PM Sunday through Wednesday (Sunday to 10:00 PM) and to 11:00 PM Thursday through Saturday, with the bar open daily from noon until 3:00 AM. Dress is smart and elegant; sportswear and distressed clothing are turned away.
