LPM is a Mayfair flagship built around the food and ease of the Cote d'Azur, tucked into a quiet mews at 53-54 Brooks Mews behind Claridge's. It opened in 2007 as the flagship of a concept inspired by Nice, and it works a triangular room around a zinc bar, with crisp white linens, marble accents, pale walls hung with southern French artwork, and a small terrace for warmer months.
The kitchen keeps seasonal Mediterranean ingredients simple but precise, and the format is built for sharing. Starters run to warm prawns in olive oil, scallop carpaccio, and burrata, with vegetable-forward plates like French green beans and ratatouille alongside. Pastas move from homemade gnocchi with cherry tomatoes to truffle variations.
The signature is the whole roast black leg chicken, marinated in Amalfi lemon until tender and citrus-forward, priced at 155 pounds and usually shared. The cote de boeuf with potato galette runs 165 pounds, and the daily fish is market price. The wine list leans toward Provencal roses.
Service is paced for lingering.
