Best Steakhouses in Las Vegas 2026: The Ranked Guide
Our ranked guide to the best steakhouses in Las Vegas for 2026, from Bazaar Meat and SW to the Rat Pack-era Golden Steer, with the tables we book most.
Why we wrote this guide
Las Vegas has more great steakhouses per square mile than any city in the country, which is exactly why picking one is hard. The Strip alone runs a celebrity-chef flagship, a live-fire original, a James Beard name reinventing the format, and a half-dozen rooms doing dry-aged prime as well as anywhere in America. This is our ranked guide to the best Las Vegas steakhouses in 2026, built from the tables we book most and the rooms our guests ask for by name. Every venue below is one we reserve directly. Last updated September 2026.
Looking for the table, not the reading? Tell us the night and the group and we will route you to the right room. The order below blends the quality of the room with the occasion it fits best, not just the size of the dining room. The ten ranked rooms are all on the Strip; the one that matters most off-Strip gets its own honorable mention below.
The ranked guide
1. Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres (The Palazzo)
The most ambitious steak experience in the city. Jose Andres turned the steakhouse format inside out: live-fire cooking, a raw bar, the theatrical carving, and cuts you will not find on a standard prime menu. It is as much a dining event as a steak dinner, so it tops most serious Vegas steak lists. Book it when the meal itself is the occasion. See Bazaar Meat.
Best for: the marquee dinner, the group that wants the full show.
2. SW Steakhouse (Wynn)
Wynn's flagship steakhouse and one of the most polished rooms on the Strip. Lakeside seating facing the Lake of Dreams show, a deep wine program, and the kind of service Wynn is known for. SW is the move when you want a refined, grown-up steak dinner with a view and zero rough edges, which is also why it is one of the hardest prime-time tables in town. See SW Steakhouse.
Best for: a special-occasion dinner where the setting matters as much as the food.
3. Prime Steakhouse (Bellagio)
Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Bellagio steakhouse, overlooking the fountains. A classic fine-dining steakhouse with a French accent, and one of the best fountain-view tables in the city. Prime has been a Strip benchmark since 1998 and still earns it. See Prime Steakhouse.
Best for: the fountain-view anniversary or the client dinner that needs to impress.
4. Bavette's Steakhouse and Bar (Park MGM)
The moody, low-lit modern classic. Dark wood, leather, and a menu that nails the steakhouse standards without trying to reinvent them. Bavette's is the room people fall in love with, so it books out. See Bavette's.
Best for: date night and the group that wants atmosphere over spectacle.
5. Papi Steak (Fontainebleau)
David 'Papi' Einhorn and David Grutman's see-and-be-seen steakhouse, and the most theatrical table in town: the Beef Case, a 55oz Australian Wagyu tomahawk, arrives with full presentation. Papi Steak is a party as much as a steak dinner, which is exactly what its crowd wants. Pair it with a Fontainebleau night out. See Papi Steak.
Best for: the celebration dinner that rolls into the night.
6. COTE (The Venetian)
The Korean steakhouse, on the Strip. COTE builds the room around the grill in the middle of your table: prime and wagyu cuts cooked in front of you, a run of banchan, and the prix-fixe that does the ordering for you. Get the Butcher's Feast with the wagyu add-on and you get a parade of beef with every accompaniment, ban-chan, scallion salad and doenjang stew alongside. See COTE.
Best for: the group that wants a steak dinner that is also an event, cooked at the table.
7. Maroon by Kwame Onwuachi (Sahara)
The bold, new, talked-about room. Kwame Onwuachi, the 2019 James Beard Rising Star Chef of the Year, opened Maroon at the Sahara as an Afro-Caribbean steakhouse, and it takes the format somewhere no other Vegas steak room goes. The cuts are serious; the flavors, the spice, and the point of view are entirely his. This is the steak dinner for the table that wants the new thing everyone is asking about. See Maroon.
Best for: the diner who wants the boldest, most current steak room in town.
8. Don's Prime (Fontainebleau)
A supper-club-style steakhouse inside the Fontainebleau, leaning into the throwback Vegas dinner-and-a-show feel. The right pick if you are staying or playing at the Fontainebleau and want to keep the night in one building, and a genuine date-night room in its own right. See Don's Prime.
Best for: date night and the Fontainebleau-based group that wants a supper-club vibe.
9. STK Las Vegas (The Cosmopolitan)
Steakhouse meets nightclub: a DJ, a high-energy room, and a younger crowd than the white-tablecloth rooms. STK is the pick when the group wants a steak dinner that already feels like the start of the night out. See STK.
Best for: the pre-club group dinner with energy.
10. BOA Steakhouse (The Palazzo)
A reliable, well-located Strip-front steakhouse with a strong prime program and an easy room for groups. BOA does not chase a gimmick; it does a very good steakhouse dinner in a convenient spot. See BOA Steakhouse.
Best for: a dependable group steak dinner in the Strip.
Honorable mention: Golden Steer (off-Strip)
The ten rooms above are all on the Strip. The Golden Steer is not, and that is the whole point. Open since 1958, it is the original Las Vegas steakhouse, the room where the Rat Pack, Elvis, and decades of Vegas history ate. Red leather booths, tableside Caesar and bananas Foster, and zero interest in modern trends. It is the once-in-a-trip classic, and we handle both the reservation and the car out to it. See Golden Steer.

- The original, the Vegas history dinner: Golden Steer.
Why the steakhouse reservation is harder than it looks
The best Vegas steak tables on a weekend or a major event weekend (F1, NYE, fight nights, big conventions) book out weeks ahead, and the prime-time seatings go first. Our Las Vegas team books these tables directly and can pair the steak dinner with the rest of the night.
How the booking works
Our hosts handle the timing and coordination of reservations you may not be able to secure yourself, plus the logistics before and after: the walk to the show or the club, a specific booth, a quiet corner for a proposal, a cake at the end.
The process for you is short:
Tell us the night, the group size, and the room (or tell us the vibe and we will pick).
We come back quickly with the table, the time, and anything we can add.
You confirm. Restaurants do not take deposit links the way nightlife does; if a room needs anything beyond a standard request to hold a prime table, we set that expectation with you up front.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best steakhouse in Las Vegas?
For the single best steak experience, most serious diners point to Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres at The Palazzo. For a refined special-occasion room, SW Steakhouse at Wynn and Prime at Bellagio lead. The right answer depends on the occasion, so we rank by fit above, not just reputation.
How much does dinner at a Las Vegas steakhouse cost?
Expect a prime steak entree at a Strip steakhouse to run roughly $65 to $130, and a full dinner with appetizers, sides, and wine to land around $150 to $350 per person depending on the room and the cuts. The marquee rooms and wagyu programs run higher. We can give you a realistic per-head estimate for any specific room before you book.
Which Las Vegas steakhouse is hardest to get into?
On weekends and major event weekends, the prime-time tables at SW and Papi Steak book out first, and the Golden Steer, with its small off-Strip dining room, is a genuinely tough table on any busy night. Our Las Vegas team books these tables directly, so tell us the night and the group early.
What is the best steakhouse for a large group?
BOA and STK both seat groups comfortably, and COTE's tableside grill is a natural for a group that wants a shared experience. For a celebration group that wants energy, STK or Papi Steak. For a quieter, refined group dinner, SW or Prime. Tell us the headcount and we will route the room that fits.
Is the Golden Steer worth it?
If you want the original, historic Las Vegas steakhouse experience, yes. Open since 1958, it is the Rat Pack-era classic, off-Strip, with tableside service and red leather booths. It is not modern fine dining and does not try to be. We book it for guests who want the real, old-school Vegas, and we sort the car.
How far in advance should I book a Vegas steakhouse?
For a standard weekend prime-time table, 2 to 4 weeks. For F1 weekend, NYE, or a major fight or convention weekend, 6 to 8 weeks. Weeknights and off-peak seatings are often available inside a week. The earlier you tell our Las Vegas team the night and group, the more options we have to work with.
Do I need a reservation, or can I walk in?
The top rooms effectively require a reservation at prime time, especially on weekends. Walk-ins are possible at off-peak hours but not reliable for a group or a special occasion. Let us sort it so the night is not left to chance.
