The Las Vegas Grand Prix returns November 20 to 22, 2026, with the race itself run Saturday night, November 21. It is the only round on the Formula 1 calendar where the circuit runs through the middle of a working resort city, and that single fact drives everything about how the weekend behaves.
Race weekend is the hardest reservation week of the Las Vegas year. It is harder than New Year's Eve, because NYE is one night and this is three, and because a large share of the city's premium capacity is committed to sponsors, teams, and corporate hospitality months in advance.
This is what is confirmed for 2026, what the circuit does to your ability to move around, and how to plan a weekend that works instead of one that fights the racetrack.
The shape of the weekend
Three nights, and they are not interchangeable.
Thursday, November 19 is the soft open. The city is filling, the clubs are running real bookings, and it is by a wide margin the easiest night of the weekend to get a table.
Friday, November 20 is practice and qualifying. This is the night most visitors treat as their main night out, and the club bills reflect it.
Saturday, November 21 is race night. The race runs Saturday evening into the night. Everything about Saturday bends around the broadcast: dinner service compresses, clubs open late and stay open later, and the hours around the race are the busiest concentrated window in the Vegas calendar.
Sunday, November 22 is the recovery day, and it is genuinely good. The city is still full, the bills are still strong, and the pressure is gone.
One planning note that costs people their Saturday: confirm the published start time before you book anything on race night. The start time has moved between editions of this race, and a dinner reservation set against last year's schedule is how groups end up watching the start from a taxi.

Friday, November 20
XS at Encore has The Chainsmokers. Omnia at Caesars has Martin Garrix. Hakkasan Nightclub at MGM has TYGA, which is the weekend's strongest hip-hop booking. LIV Nightclub at Fontainebleau continues Race Week with Adriatique, Tao Nightclub at Venetian has Greg Lopez, Jewel at Aria has Murphi Kennedy, and Marquee Nightclub at Cosmopolitan and On The Record at Park MGM run their Friday parties.
Saturday, November 21: race night
The heaviest single night of the autumn.
Understand what you are booking on Saturday. Doors and peak hours shift later than a normal Saturday because the race holds the city until it finishes. A table booked for a normal Saturday timeline will have you arriving to a half-empty room and leaving before it fills.
Sunday, November 22
XS at Encore has RUFUS DU SOL on a DJ set, which is one of the best bookings of the entire weekend and sits on the night nobody competes for. LIV Nightclub at Fontainebleau has Disco Lines, Omnia at Caesars runs DESEO Latin Sundays, and Tao Nightclub at Venetian has DJ Franzen.

The circuit is a wall: plan around it
This is the part that separates people who enjoy race weekend from people who spend it in traffic.
The circuit runs on public roads through the resort corridor, including a long straight on Las Vegas Boulevard. During sessions, sections of the Strip and the surrounding streets close to traffic and to pedestrians, and the crossing points between one side of the circuit and the other are limited and heavily congested.
The practical consequences:
- Pick a side and stay on it. Choose your dinner and your club on the same side of the circuit as your hotel, for the same night. A reservation that looks like a ten minute walk on a map can become an hour once the track is live.
- Rideshare degrades badly. Pickup zones move, and the walk to them can be long. Budget far more transit time than the distance suggests, in both directions.
- Walking is often faster than driving, but only if you are already on the correct side.
- Confirm the closure map for 2026 when it is published. The layout has been consistent across editions, but the closure schedule and pedestrian bridge access change year to year.
Dining: the two-part strategy
The mistake is treating race weekend dinner like a normal Vegas dinner. By race week, a meaningful share of the marquee rooms are into corporate buyouts and sponsor allocations, and the public inventory that remains goes early.
First, anchor one dinner. Pick the single most important meal of your three nights and lock it well ahead. For most groups that is Thursday or Friday, not Saturday.
LAVO Italian at Palazzo at the Palazzo is the room most associated with race weekend viewing dinners, and its Strip-facing position is the reason. Delilah at Wynn at Wynn is the supper-club option and pairs naturally with an XS night in the same resort. Komodo at Fontainebleau at Fontainebleau and Catch at Aria at Aria both run loud and late. Carbone at Aria at Aria and SW Steakhouse at Wynn at Wynn are the quieter anchors.
Second, leave Saturday flexible. Race night is not a seated-dinner night. Eat early, before the session, or eat late once it has finished. The window during the race belongs to the race.
Watch parties and race activations
Not everyone in town for this weekend holds a ticket, and the city knows it. The large-format rooms with wall-to-wall screens run viewing programming through the race, and those fill faster than the ticketed grandstands do.
Bottled Blonde Las Vegas is the reference point here: a big-room, big-screen format that programs around major sporting events and does not require the planning a nightclub does. On The Record at Park MGM has an outdoor patio at Park MGM that suits a group that wants the broadcast without an arena around it.
A caution worth stating plainly: specific 2026 race-weekend activations, viewing menus, and trackside packages are announced close to the event, usually inside the final six to eight weeks. Anything you read in the spring claiming a confirmed viewing party for November is speculation. Beyond the table
Race weekend is the one week of the year where a dinner reservation is the smallest part of the trip. Most groups that come for this weekend need more than a table, and we handle the whole weekend rather than one piece of it:

If you are putting together anything more complicated than a night out, start the conversation early. Race weekend inventory across all of the above is committed further ahead than any other week in Las Vegas, and the difference between a request in September and a request in November is substantial.

Race weekend rewards early decisions more than any other week in Las Vegas. The order that works:
- Lock accommodation on the side of the circuit you intend to spend your time. Everything else follows from this.
- Anchor one dinner, Thursday or Friday.
- Choose your one big club night. Friday and Saturday carry the marquee bills. Sunday carries the best value.
- Leave race-night dining loose until the start time is published.
