HLTH brings roughly 12,250 people to the Venetian Expo from November 15 to 18, and 4,400 of them are C-suite - the densest concentration of senior executives on the Las Vegas calendar. A smaller show with a much heavier room
HLTH is not a big show by Las Vegas standards. Twelve thousand people is a fifth of AWS re:Invent and less than a tenth of SEMA. What makes it different is who they are: better than a third of the floor is C-suite, which means the dinners are smaller, earlier and more consequential than the headcount suggests. Six people at a good table matters more here than sixty at a buyout, and the rooms that suit that are a different list from the ones a trade show usually wants.
When people are actually in town
Sessions open Sunday, so most people land on the Saturday - the busiest night of the Las Vegas week, when every headliner is playing and nothing is available late. Sunday through Tuesday are the working evenings. The show closes Wednesday and much of the floor flies out that afternoon, so Wednesday is optional. Worth knowing: the Formula 1 Grand Prix takes over the Strip two days after HLTH ends, so anyone extending into that weekend is walking into the hardest reservation week of the year.
Where to eat from the Venetian Expo
HLTH sits inside the Venetian, and for a room this senior the building works in your favour. Estiatorio Milos is the one to lead with: fish, quiet enough to talk, and it handles a table of eight without theatre. Bazaar Meat and BOA cover steak, Wakuda is the room when the dinner should feel like an occasion, and Mott 32 and LAVO take a larger group. Wynn is across the street for SW Steakhouse and Delilah. For a dinner of six that matters, ask us for a private room rather than a good table.
Groups and buyouts
HLTH dinners skew small and senior, which changes the ask. The bookings we make most that week are private rooms for eight to thirty, often with a specific quiet requirement, and the occasional larger client reception. Full buyouts we will place with the right room; the budget is where that conversation starts.
If a nightclub is not the answer
Not everyone wants a main room, and it is worth saying so. If a club is the wrong register for the group, The Mayfair Supper Club turns dinner into the evening without anyone having to move.
