Somewhere Nowhere takes the 38th and 39th floors atop the Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel on West 25th Street, an indoor lounge and an open-air rooftop pool stacked above the city. The lower level is the Secret Garden, a garden-inspired lounge with bold pops of color; the top level adds the rooftop pool and panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. KV2 sound and progressive lighting run through both.
Nightlife runs Friday through Sunday from 11 PM to 4 AM, with international and local DJs on the decks. Earlier, the pace is slower: Gotham Jazz on Wednesdays from 5 PM, a Martini Power Hour on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 to 7 PM, comedy and Sinatra Under the Stars on Fridays at 8:30 PM, and Suave Saturdays, a Latin-inspired sunset party, from 5 PM.
Craft cocktails move alongside plates like wagyu beef sliders, tuna tartare and caviar bites. The pool runs in the warmer months, and in winter teardrop igloos take over the rooftop, each seating up to five guests for two hours with a bottle of champagne.
Hours are Wednesday 5 PM to 1 AM, Thursday noon to 11 PM, and Friday through Sunday noon to 4 AM. The room is 21 and over, and the smart casual dress code is strictly enforced: no shorts outside daylife events, athletic wear, team logos, slides, distressed sneakers or tank tops.
