The cooking is coastal Italian, built on pristine seafood and handmade pastas: branzino tartare with pistachio and Calabrian chile, pan-seared wild Dover sole, casarecce with jumbo lump crab and sea urchin, and fusilli with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow. A tomahawk ribeye covers the table that wants steak, desserts run from tiramisu to sorbetti, and the bar program is serious in its own right, down to the Marea Martini made with tomato acqua pazza and Calabrian chile.
Lunch is served daily from noon to 2:45 PM. Dinner runs from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and until 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. The terrace over Central Park South hosts seasonal events, and for private occasions the rosewood-paneled Praiano room on the lower level seats up to 24, the Ravello room up to 30, and the semi-private Salerno Lounge up to 35.
