Flora's Field Kitchen is the restaurant at the heart of Flora Farms, a working organic farm tucked into the Sierra de la Laguna foothills north of San Jose del Cabo. Founders Patrick and Gloria Greene built the place around a simple idea: grow the food, then cook it a few steps from where it was picked.
That principle shapes nearly everything on the plate. Vegetables and herbs are pulled straight from the fields, an on-site butcher program breaks down the meat, and the animals come from the farm's own 150-acre ranch, raised without hormones or antibiotics. Even the pantry staples are made on the property, from the breads to the ice creams and sorbets churned in house.
The menu reads the way a farm dinner should. Neapolitan flatbreads come out of the wood oven, garden salads and chilled gazpacho lean on whatever is peaking that week, and hearty mains like the farm pork chop anchor the table. What is ripe and ready tends to steer the kitchen more than any fixed script.
The setting is rustic-chic and fully open-air, with tables scattered among the fields and groves and the farm carrying on around you. It has become a destination in its own right, drawing a devoted crowd for both a slow weekday brunch and a lingering dinner, and it is widely cited for sustainable, farm-driven cooking. The Michelin Guide Mexico recognizes it with a Bib Gourmand nod for food that delivers real value.
Service runs brunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday and dinner only on Monday, with hours shifting slightly between the November-to-May and June-to-October seasons. Reservations are recommended for every seating.
