It spans Mayfair townhouses, hotel flagships, and destination rooms across the city, from two- and three-star kitchens to long-standing Guide regulars, and the sequence below is our ranking. Gymkhana

Gymkhana is the two-Michelin-star Indian flagship from JKS Restaurants, set at 42 Albemarle Street in Mayfair. The Sethi siblings opened it in 2013, and it earned its first star in 2014 and a second in 2024, a rare distinction for Indian fine dining. Across two levels the room channels Raj-era sophistication, with the ground floor wrapped in jade green and polished dark timber.
Zuma

Zuma introduced London to informal izakaya dining when Rainer Becker opened it in Knightsbridge in 2002. Two decades on it remains a cornerstone of the capital's Japanese scene, Michelin-recognized for consistent execution and now the anchor of a global brand. The room centers on an open kitchen with a visible sushi counter and robata grill, set among granite tables and warm wood at 5 Raphael Street.
34 Mayfair

34 Mayfair is Caprice Holdings' art deco grill and jazz room on Grosvenor Square, part of Richard Caring's group behind Scott's, Sexy Fish, and Daphne's. It carries the same glamour, polished service, and celebrity-friendly crowd, with a top-hatted doorman setting the tone at the South Audley Street entrance. Martin Brudnizki designed the interior around a mid-century mood.
Park Chinois

Park Chinois is the rare Mayfair dining room that doubles as a full night out, hidden behind red doors on Berkeley Street. Dinner arrives with live music, a grand piano, and a cabaret that might turn to burlesque, an aerialist, or a resident DJ before the space tips into late-night club mode downstairs. It was created by Alan Yau, the restaurateur behind Hakkasan and Yauatcha, with interiors by Jacques Garcia, and its Duck de Chine has become a signature.
The Ivy

The Ivy is the original, the 1917 flagship at 1-5 West Street tucked between the Ambassadors and St Martin's theatres in Covent Garden. It is the room every later Ivy Cafe and Ivy Brasserie was built to echo, and after a century of writers, actors, and post-curtain regulars under its stained glass, a pre-theatre dinner here remains a quintessentially London way to open an evening.
A. Wong

A. Wong is Andrew Wong's modern Chinese restaurant on Wilton Road in Victoria, and the only Chinese kitchen outside Asia to hold two Michelin stars. It is intimate by design, a bright, airy room with large windows and an open kitchen set front and centre, where Wong works the pass and a handful of counter seats let guests watch the cooking.
CORE by Clare Smyth

CORE by Clare Smyth is the Notting Hill flagship that made Clare Smyth the first and only British female chef to hold three Michelin stars. It sits at 92 Kensington Park Road, a discreet address on a residential stretch of W11 that gives no hint of what waits inside. The dining room is bright, soft, and deliberate, contemporary British cooking built for a table you plan a trip around.
Sketch

Sketch is really five rooms behind a single Mayfair door at 9 Conduit Street, each one answering a different kind of occasion, from a three-star tasting menu to a design-led afternoon. It is a townhouse of contrasts rather than one restaurant, which is why regulars return for entirely different reasons. The best known is the Gallery, the all-pink room designed by India Mahdavi.
The Ledbury

The Ledbury occupies a quiet corner of Notting Hill on Ledbury Road, where Brett Graham's restaurant regained the top tier of the Michelin Guide in 2024 with its third star. It reopened in February 2022 after a near two-year closure, with a new interior, and it is an occasion dinner in the fullest sense, a meal that deserves an evening of its own.
Benares

Benares holds a Michelin star for modern Indian cooking from a 150-seat room at 12A Berkeley Square in Mayfair. Warm woods, soft metallic accents, and low ambient light give it the feel of a luxurious Indian salon tempered by British restraint. Chef Sameer Taneja runs the kitchen, and the star has been part of the restaurant's identity since its recognition in 2005.
China Tang at the Dorchester

China Tang fills a subterranean 150-seat dining room beneath the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane, and has been Michelin-recommended since it opened in 2005 under the late Sir David Tang, founder of the China Clubs and Shanghai Tang. The room channels 1930s Shanghai glamour through art deco interiors, with crimson leather banquettes, chinoiserie screens, and flickering lanterns, and its Peking duck is among the reasons regulars return.
Ikoyi

Ikoyi is Jeremy Chan's two-Michelin-star tasting-menu room at 180 Strand, currently number 15 on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list. The cooking sits in a category of its own, spice-led plates built on British produce, sustainable fish, and aged beef without being tied to any single national cuisine. Since 2022 it has occupied a space designed by Studio David Thulstrup.
Sabor

Sabor is Nieves Barragan Mohacho's Spanish restaurant on Heddon Street, just off Regent Street in Mayfair. Formerly of Barrafina, she opened it in 2018, and it has held a Michelin star ever since, built around fire, seafood, and regional Spanish cooking rather than a set tasting-menu formula. It runs as two experiences under one roof, starting with the walk-in Counter on the ground floor.
Isabel Mayfair

Isabel Mayfair is the glamorous, low-lit dining and lounge room on Albemarle Street that A-listers, royals, and the yacht crowd have gravitated toward since it opened in 2017, from the same Juan Santa Cruz world as Casa Cruz. It leans Latin and theatrical, built to feel like an occasion, with a late bar in the heart of Mayfair. The setting is a 1905 Beaux-Arts building whose interior mixes Art Deco, Beaux-Arts, and Chinoiserie detail.
Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester

Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is the three-Michelin-star French dining room on Park Lane, the chef's flagship London kitchen. It sits inside The Dorchester at 53 Park Lane, on the Mayfair edge of Hyde Park, carrying a quieter, more modern elegance than the grand hotel around it. Jouin Manku designed the interior to echo the park outside, in wood, leather, and textiles in soft natural tones.
Helene Darroze at The Connaught

Helene Darroze at The Connaught is the three-Michelin-star flagship of chef Helene Darroze, set inside the Mayfair grande dame on Carlos Place. It is built for a long, unhurried evening and the kind of table you want to get exactly right. Pierre Yovanovitch reimagined the dining room in 2019, lightening the historic dark-wood panelling to a warmer honey tone against soft coral walls.
Ivy Asia

Ivy Asia is the pan-Asian room that behaves more like an occasion, set on an upper floor of One New Change at 20 New Change with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. It is the original and most theatrical of the Ivy Asia locations, all glowing jade floors and pure spectacle. The entrance carries a pink onyx floor and a pagoda-style mirrored bar.
Hakkasan

Hakkasan is the Michelin-starred, two-floor Cantonese room set below street level on Bruton Street in Mayfair. It opened in 2010, has held its star since 2011, and runs under executive head chef Tong Chee Hwee. The 200-seat space is dark and sultry, with lacquered wood, intricate lattice screens, and low lighting across two levels.
Jamavar

Jamavar is the Leela group's Michelin-starred Indian restaurant on Mayfair's Mount Street, marking a decade in London in 2026 and long regarded as one of the capital's benchmark fine-dining Indian rooms. The interior is understated dark glamour, with embossed deep-green wallpaper, olive and tan leather seating, brass detailing, and Tiffany-style lamps. A serene blue private dining room rounds out the space.
Scott's

Scott's has held its corner of Mount Street since 1851, a Mayfair seafood house whose champagne and oyster bar has drawn London's writers, dealmakers, and regulars for generations. It sits in Richard Caring's Caprice Holdings stable, a sister to Sexy Fish and 34 Mayfair. Behind its dark green awning, the interior reworked by Martin Brudnizki is a jewel box, centered on the oyster and champagne bar.
Imperial Treasure

Imperial Treasure is the European flagship of a multi-Michelin-starred Singaporean group, a fine Cantonese restaurant occupying a grand Grade II listed building at 9 Waterloo Place in St James's. The 140-seat room marries old and new, with soaring historic plaster cornices and arched windows set against a contemporary Chinese interior of dark timber and jade-toned leather chairs.
Ambassadors Clubhouse

Ambassadors Clubhouse is JKS Restaurants' love letter to undivided Punjab, tucked onto Heddon Street just off Regent Street in Mayfair, and in 2026 the first Punjabi restaurant in the UK to win a Michelin star. The multi-level space conjures the faded glamour of a 1900s Lahore and Bombay gentlemen's club, with a show-stopping circular bar beneath a carved lotus medallion and striped marble columns.
Trivet

Trivet holds two Michelin stars on a quiet Bermondsey side street a few minutes' walk from London Bridge, and wears them more lightly than almost any restaurant at that level. It is the room Jonny Lake and Isa Bal built after years together at The Fat Duck, where Lake ran the kitchen and Bal was head sommelier and a former Best Sommelier of Europe.
Aqua Shard

Aqua Shard occupies Level 31 of The Shard, Western Europe's tallest building, and trades on the London skyline as much as the menu. Floor-to-ceiling glass wraps the room, and the contemporary British kitchen has earned a place in the Michelin Guide. At its centre is a three-storey atrium housing the Aqua Atrium Bar and the afternoon tea lounge.
Estiatorio Milos

Estiatorio Milos is Costas Spiliadis's Greek seafood landmark, the London chapter of a story he has told since Montreal in 1979. Set inside the former British Columbia House at 1 Regent Street, on the edge of St James's near Piccadilly Circus, it draws the city for pristine whole fish, a power lunch, or a celebration. The space is grand and high-ceilinged, in a restored 1915 listed building.
Mount St. Restaurant

Mount St. Restaurant is the art-filled dining room on the first floor of The Audley, a restored Mayfair landmark reopened by Artfarm, the hospitality company behind gallerists Iwan and Manuela Wirth of Hauser and Wirth. More than 200 works hang throughout the building, from Andy Warhol and Lucian Freud to a mosaic floor by Rashid Johnson, so a table here sits inside a working gallery.
Langan's Brasserie

Langan's Brasserie is the storied Stratton Street room that Peter Langan opened in 1976 with actor Michael Caine and chef Richard Shepherd, and for decades one of London's buzziest celebrity canteens. After a period closed and dark, it reopened in 2021 under Graziano Arricale and James Hitchen, who restored the glamour without sanding off its character. Much of the draw is the art-covered walls.
MiMi Mei Fair

MiMi Mei Fair is the glamorous Chinese restaurant from LSL Capital, the team behind Jamavar, set inside a Georgian townhouse on Curzon Street in Mayfair and imagined as the opulent residence of a fictional Empress MiMi. A Michelin Guide listing, it is one of the city's most theatrical dining rooms, a maximalist fantasy of hand-painted chinoiserie, coral-lacquered doors, and dragon motifs.
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal occupies the ground-floor dining room at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in Knightsbridge, where floor-to-ceiling windows open straight onto Hyde Park. It is one of the few two-Michelin-starred rooms in London where the view competes with what is on the plate. Opened in 2011, the concept runs on a simple idea, with every dish carrying a date drawn from historic British cooking.
Brooklands by Claude Bosi

Brooklands by Claude Bosi crowns the rooftop of The Peninsula London in Belgravia, a two-Michelin-starred room that won both stars in its debut year. It sets Claude Bosi's cooking under one of the city's most theatrical settings, a scale model of Concorde suspended overhead and skyline views on every side. It is a genuine special-occasion dinner worth a standalone evening.
Roka Mayfair

Roka Mayfair is Rainer Becker's Mayfair izakaya, a Japanese room built around an open robata grill on North Audley Street. Becker opened it here in 2014, and it held a Michelin star from 2015 to 2018, drawing London's professional set for lunch, dinner, and group celebrations. The 130-seat interior pivots around the charcoal grill, with dark walls, polished wood, cozy booths, and a central sushi counter.
